Nick Place
Staff Attorney

Before serving as a Staff Attorney at the PCJF, Nick Place spent six and a half years as a Staff Attorney and Training Supervisor at the Orleans Public Defenders in New Orleans, Louisiana where he started as a Gideon’s Promise Fellow.
As staff attorney, he represented hundreds of indigent New Orleanians accused of crimes, from misdemeanors to charges carrying life without parole in one of the most punitive jurisdictions in the country. As training supervisor, he trained and mentored new attorneys during their first year in the office.
Nick graduated from the George Washington University Law School in 2017. Before law school, he was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He is originally from Missouri.
