Hannah Van Buskirk
Paralegal
Hannah Van Buskirk is a paralegal at the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund and its project, the Center for Protest Law & Litigation. In this role, Hannah provides general litigation support, oversees FOIA requests, and assists with case investigation and development.
Previously, Hannah was a paralegal at Neighborhood Legal Services Program, a nonprofit legal aid organization that assists low-income residents of D.C with civil legal issues. Prior to NLSP, she was a Legal Assistant at Sandler Reiff Lamb Rosenstein & Birkenstock, P.C, a progressive political law firm specializing in campaign finance and election law, government ethics, and regulation of advocacy. Since undergrad, Hannah has been very involved in community organizing and mutual aid. She worked on a local mayoral campaign in Richmond, Virginia, and since moving to D.C. in 2021, has been active in tenant organizing efforts in the District.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. In her free time, you can find Hannah thrifting, biking around town, or being dragged by her large hound dog through Rock Creek Park.
