Golden Gate 26 – Motion To Dismiss The Charges In The Interest Of Justice

The CPLL’s Rachel Lederman, along with other lawyers representing the Golden Gate 26, filed a motion to dismiss the charges, citing international findings that Israel is engaged in genocide in Gaza.

26 Bay Area residents, known as the Golden Gate 26, were arrested during an April 15 ceasefire protest on the Golden Gate Bridge to demand an end to the US-backed genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and an immediate arms embargo against the Israeli government. Eight of the protestors are charged with felony conspiracy, 18 with misdemeanor conspiracy, and all 26 are facing 38 counts of false imprisonment, as well as trespassing to interfere with a business, obstructing a thoroughfare, and related charges.
