The Nation Magazine turns to Mara Verheyden-Hilliard on how the current administration is using the “Occupy Model” to in efforts to crush the burgeoning racial justice movement.
Drawing on hundreds of pages of materials secured through the Freedom of Information Act, Verheyden-Hilliard explains “What’s clear is that at Attorney General Barr’s behest the JTTFs are using the Occupy ‘model’ to have federal agencies like the FBI and Homeland Security work with local police to turn their sights on the fight for social justice.”
