Please join the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund and the Center for Protest Law and Litigation in our demand.

We demand:

  1. An immediate, thorough and fully public investigation into all police involvement, collusion, and/or facilitation of the January 6  attack on the nation's Capitol and termination and prosecution of all involved including line officers, command officials, and government officials;

  2. That this violent attack NOT be used under any circumstances to justify legislation, regulation or policy that would in any way restrict First Amendment Activities. The right-wing, white supremacists who mobbed the Capitol on January 6th were not "protesters." They were violent fascistic mobs marching under the flag of white supremacy and their actions should bear no consequences on the constitutional rights of peaceful protesters; and

  3. That this violent attack NOT be wielded as a political excuse to increase funding to police departments, including the Capitol Police. We know the police have all the weapons, funding, and tactics at their disposal that they have not hesitated to use against racial justice protesters, anti-war activists and other peaceful dissenters. The Capitol Police made a decision not use the massive staffing and gear at their disposal against the right-wing mob.

IT IS CRUCIAL TO DEMOCRACY THAT ALL OFFICERS, COMMANDERS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WHO SUPPORTED, AIDED, AND ABETTED THE VIOLENT MOB THAT STORMED THE CAPITOL BE ROOTED OUT, TERMINATED AND PROSECUTED IMMEDIATELY.
